Fostering cross-cultural understanding is one of the major underlying goals of Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners of the Americas, Inc. We are indeed fortunate to be a part of one of the greatest multi-cultural organizations of the western hemisphere, Partners of the Americas, Inc., whose primary focus is promoting international goodwill and understanding. W/NP became a charter member of POA in 1965. The uniqueness of W/NP is in the harness of volunteer power and the provision of a bridge for technical and cultural exchange. The people-to-people concept works because each side understands the task to be done and that respect for their fellow person is an important component to success. Through these efforts, people from both cultures build a better world for their children and future generations.
