There has been good and bad news in the Farmer to Farmer program since we last met. The good news is that we have completed our 2003 program year and successfully fielded thirty volunteers.
The bad news, as some of you may know, is that there have been changes in the USAID funding for FTF projects in Latin America. Partners of the Americas, Inc. was not awarded the upcoming five-year FTF Program Grant. Instead, Winrock International will now be running the program in that region. However, we have been in contact with Winrock to explore how W/NP can work with them in the future to maintain our contacts and keep our projects alive.
