For the last shipment packed in April, we shipped three gaylord boxes filled with health care and school supplies, backpacks, small hand tools, and bicycle repair materials. We also sent seventeen bicycles. A feature article about this project was printed in our local paper, and one of our committee members, who is from Nicaragua, was interviewed by Channel 7, the Wausau television station.
Due to the article and television interview, we have generated increased interest and have already collected several bicycles and a sewing machine for the next shipment. We will continue to focus on bicycle, sewing, and school supplies for Condega.
